Mass spectrometry. Expert in a wide variety of mass spectrometry instrumentation, including quadrupole, TOF and high-resolution (FT-ICR) mass analyzers, MALDI and ESI ionization sources, and integrated ion mobility separations. Experienced in characterizing biopolymers (peptides, glycolipids) using tandem MS. User of Bruker, Agilent, and Thermo instruments including timsTOF Pro and fleX.

Separations: Strong fundamental understanding of analytical separations processes. Expert in both gas and liquid chromatographic techniques including multidimensional separations. Built and characterized new chromatographic instrumentation.

Code: Fluent in MATLAB and Python.

Management: Supervised numerous graduate students and undergraduate students in project design, hands-on training, and more. Currently acting as project lead for an NIH R01-funded effort with roles that include collaboration with researchers across different disciples and at different universities and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.
